About

My name is Keith Nolan, and I’m running as an Independent candidate for Tennessee House District 31 (Bledsoe, Sequatchie, and Rhea counties).
This campaign isn’t about my vision, it’s about yours. I’m running to listen, to represent your values, and to defend the liberties guaranteed by the United States Constitution. Transparency, accountability, personal responsibility, and real cooperation are the principles that guide me.
For the past 10 years, I’ve been an activist in the Liberty movement, fighting for smaller government, individual rights, and sound money. Public service runs in my family, and growing up in the Chattanooga area instilled in me a deep respect for hard work and community. Since 2020, Sequatchie County has been home.
As a working electrician, I know what it’s like to bust your knuckles earning a dollar only to watch it disappear to taxes and inflation. I believe in free and open markets, peace through cooperation, and the simple truth that the people of District 31 know what’s best for their families and communities not distant bureaucrats.
If you’d like to know exactly where I stand on the issues that matter to you such as taxes, education, Second Amendment rights, economic growth, or anything else please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always available at Keithnolan4tn@gmail.com.
Thank you for your time. I’d be honored to earn your trust and your vote.
Sincerely, Keith Nolan Independent Candidate for Tennessee House District 31 Keithnolan4tn@gmail.com

“If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?”
― Frederic Bastiat, The Law
I work for you.
I'm dedicated to representing the voices of our district and championing the issues that matter most to the people. These include the economy, healthcare, education, jobs, and the environment. As an independent, I hold the liberty to cooperate with either party when necessary or to stand alone for what's best for our district. These decisions will be guided by you, not party leadership. With congress as divided as it is, independents hold all the power with split votes.
Independence
I envision a district where every voice is heard, and where our diversity of thought is our strength. As your employee, it is my job to represent those who didn't vote for me just as vigorously as the ones who did. To accomplish this, I plan on using social media and my website to garner feedback from the district through a series of polling and surveys for every major bill I'm voting on. As an Independent, I am not bound by the lobbying imposed by either legacy party. I won't be a rubber stamp to anyone but the people of Bledsoe, Sequatchie, and Rhea counties.
“It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood.”
― James Madison
